No 109 is a privately- owned bush lodge in the exquisite
pristine Sondela Nature Reserve.
Conveniently situated an easy 90- minutes drive from
Johannesburg, with a host of leisure facilities, getting
back to nature is the name of the game, and the
surrounding reserve with its idyllic rolling plains will
provide endless opportunities to embrace the
tranquillity of the Bushveld. A vast variety of birds
and game can be viewed from the privacy of your bedroom
or bathroom.
The reserve is malaria free
and totally safe, and managed by a team renowned for
hospitality and wildlife conservation practices and
knowledge.
Ever dreamed of an 'Out of Africa' experience, but
didn't want to leave the luxuries of an en-suite
bathroom behind? Well, here is your chance! This
magnificent, fully- furnished, thatched lodge has 4
large, tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, sleeping
8 (with a loft that sleeps 3 people), all overlooking
the waterhole and authentic African bush that you're
unlikely to forget.
- 1st Bedroom
(private entrance) with a king- size bed, en-suite
bathroom consisting of bath, double hand basins,
shower, separate toilet and bidet, and a private
outside shower with hot and cold water.
- 2nd Bedroom
(private entrance) with a king- size bed, en-suite
bathroom consisting of bath, hand basin, shower,
separate toilet and a private outside shower with
hot and cold water.
- 3rd Bedroom
(private entrance) with a king- size bed (can be
made up as 2 single beds) ,en-suite bathroom
consisting of bath, hand basin, shower, and separate
toilet .
- 4th Bedroom -
queen- size bed, en-suite bathroom consisting of
shower, toilet and wash basin.
Open plan lounge with
fire place, dining area and an ultra modern, well-
equipped, granite kitchen including fridge/freezer,
washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. DVD player
and DSTV in the lounge.
The lodge is serviced daily, except for Sundays and
Public Holidays. Cleaning services can be arranged on
request on Public Holidays and Sundays at a rate of R100
per day.
Linen is included, own towels to be provided.
Relax and view the game from the thatched balcony
upstairs that has 6 recliners, or sit under the very
large thatched outside braai area that has a large table
and chairs, prep bowl, work surface and built- in jet
master. You can however also enjoy the cosiness of a
large fire in the boma with its fire pit.
The lodge has 2 carports and an enclosed area with
washing lines.
Sondela offers 6 swimming pools (3 heated) in a variety
of exquisite gardens for guests to enjoy, and is only
about 10 km outside Bela Bela (Warmbaths).
