The Tlou Lodge is made up of 53 stylish chalets,
accommodates a total of 106 visitors and is the ideal "getaway" home for
those not wishing to be involved in anything more than nature and its
animal life.
Two sleeper lodge rooms
The fully inclusive two bed standard lodge rooms are stylishly and
comfortably furnished and consist of an en-suite bathroom. All rooms are
equipped with phone, television facilities and coffee & tea station.
The lodge units are situated in close proximity to our state of the art
conference facility, central sports area and convenience shop.
Three bedroom self-catering units
The Tlou camp also consists of nine six bed self-catering luxury units,
equipped with state of the art kitchen appliances.
The six bed self-catering units consist of three en-suite bedrooms, each
equipped with phone, mini bar (optional), television facilities and
coffee & tea station. The fully equipped kitchen also consists of
microwave, 320L fridge/freezer and patio with braai facilities.

Pitsi Bush Camp
Pitsi Bush Camp caters for a group of ten people, hidden away from the
rest of the camps on the reserve, and for those who feel the need for
ultimate privacy and a great bush experience, this camp is definitely a
must.
With electricity in the camp, this bush retreat is fully equipped and
has hot and cold running water and a splash pool to make use of in the
heat of summer.
A minimum stay of two nights is required when booking and it should be
noted that the quoted tariff excludes organised game drives around the
reserve.
Kalahari Bush Camp
Kalahari Tented Camp is privately situated at the foot of the mountains
rolling through Mabalingwe, and was developed for family and group
getaways.
With 5 tents connected with a wooden walk way, you can experience luxury
and still cater for yourself. The camp consists of five luxury twin
bedded tents with en-suite bathroom, fridge, coffee/tea station,
electricity and is joined with a wooden deck walkway. All five tents are
hidden between lush Bushveld trees and private from each other. The
central, fully equipped kitchen and lapa is situated at the end of the
walkway and is easily accessible.
A central kitchen, lapa and ablution facilities are available in very
close proximity.

Activities:

Experience Africa in an open game drive vehicle.
Dwelling through the home ranges of the rhino and buffalo. Sharing a moment in
the presence of the mighty elephant or coming face-to-face with the highly
elusive leopard.
Game drives are available all through the day at different times.
Enjoy a night drive with our trained and qualified field guides to shine some
light on nocturnal animals such as owls, jackal, bush babies and many other
creatures of the night, a very educational experience.
Guests at Mabalingwe are also allowed to do game viewing with their own vehicles
during day time only.

On a night drive you will see what the dark of the
night holds in. Let us shine some light on nocturnal animals like owls, jackal,
bushbabies and many other creatures of the night.

These drives take place twice weekly on a Sunday and
Wednesday morning, and is a must see.
Mabalingwe is host to more than 250 bird species and a variety of these can be
seen on our bird drives which takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
on request.

Low rope teambuilding course
With ten obstacles to overcome, time is essential for each team. The low rope
obstacle course is a mental as well as a physical course which brings the team
together by discussing the obstacle and helping each other to overcome each
obstacle in a record time.
Mabalingwe also cater for the more adventurous guest and offer the
following activities:
Archery - At Mabalingwe you will learn to enjoy and master this mythical sport.
4x4 Trail - Challenge yourself and your vehicle to a journey with spectacular
views and sunsets. No charge for this activity and you can drive any time during
the day.
4x4 Track - The track, designed by 4x4 specialists can be used by responsible
4x4 drivers.
Paintball - This would be the time to start thinking tactical. This activity
demands teamwork and strategy planning. Takes place every Saturday, Sunday,
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Abseiling - Breathe the smell of fresh air while gliding down steep rocky
mountain on Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. Abseiling is available Tuesdays &
Saturdays from 07:00-08:00.

Test both yourself and your vehicle's ability in the
Wild Mountains of Mabalingwe. Enjoying the magnificent view for as far as the
eye can see

Enjoy Africa on horse back as the first pioneers
did, surrounded by fresh air and the sweet smells of the bush.
A variety of times are available from early in the mornings to sunset rides and
a one and a half hour ride will make sure that you see most of the animal and
nature life.
Half hour rides are also available for children and adults who do not wish to
challenge the longer rides.
