Bergsig Eco Estate, Warmbaths, Bela Bela

At Bergsig Eco Estate the classic unspoiled bushveld atmosphere has been preserved and plays perfect host to the comfortable accommodation with a bush theme as well as all the modern conveniences needed for the ideal breakaway.

Here you can find solace in the ultimate African romance, creating memories while exploring the bushveld in a 4x4 game viewing vehicle. Relaxation is what we aim to deliver, whether it is in the sun next to the pool or gazing out at the vast Bushveld surroundings.

Bergsig covers 340 hectares of bushveld and comprises a low lying as well as a mountainous area. The estate is situated on the high lying area with a panoramic view over the bushveld and the Hoek Mountains.

Accommodation

Lodge
The unit houses a self-catering facility which can accommodate up to 12 guests with a fully equipped kitchen including stove, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, cutlery, dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans. A pub area (with an ice machine), barbeque facilities (gas and wood) and a pool are also provided. Catering services are available on request.

Camp sites
For the more adventurous, back-to-nature individuals or groups, the camp comprises of two bathrooms both with toilets and hot showers as well as bush showers at the 10 individual sites. Please note there are no power points at the camp sites.

Bush Chalets
Our bush chalets are designed for peace and tranquillity. They are situated one kilometre from our main complex. There are three self contained bush chalets. Each chalet consists of one room with a double bed and two bunk beds (sleeps two adults, two children). There is no electricity in our bush chalets, but they are all fully equipped (including linen) with gas appliances and rechargeable lighting. All of the chalets share a natural rock pool.

Group Accommodation
The facility sleeps up to 14 guests and has its own kitchen with braai area. The pool area is utilized by all Bergsig occupants.

Chalets
There are currently three fully equipped chalets. Chalet 28 can sleep up to eight people and has a fully equipped kitchen including stove, microwave oven, fridge / freezer, cutlery, dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans. It also has its own lapa with braai facilities as well as its own private swimming pool. The other two chalets, Chalet 21 / 2 and 21 / 3 can sleep up to four people each and are both yet again fully equipped. These two chalets share a Lapa that has a lookout lounge and a communal swimming pool.

Activities

At Bergsig Eco Estate, we supply a supreme facility for individuals or groups of people such as friends, business partners, corporate groups, church groups and sport clubs to cover the following activities:

Location

Bergsig Lodge is situated in the malaria free Warmbaths / Thabazimbi district, Mabula district. We are located two kilometres from a 'big 5' resort as well as one of the areas best golf estates. 50 kilometres from Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) and approximately a two hour drive from Johannesburg International Airport. Eskom power, MTN and Vodacom reception are available.

Conference / Wedding Facility

The Bergsig Eco Estate conference facility with its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful bushveld surroundings is ideal for seminars, functions and relaxation and can accommodate 40 guests. On top of the conference facility we have a room that can also be used as a wedding reception venue. This can easily accommodate a small wedding of up to 80 people.
