Marakele Nature Reserve,

A mere 2 hours drive from Johannesburg, Boschfontein is
an easily accessible weekend break or an ideally central
point from which to explore the nearby town of
Thabazimbi and the local attractions.
Our guest house is beautifully located with superb views
over the Waterberg Mountain
range as well as views over open plains teaming with
Impala, Kudu, Blesbuck, Ostrich, Baboons, Warthog and
Wildebeest.
Over 100 bird species are found in the area and these
can be seen in the typically bushveld flora.

African hospitality and ensure that all your needs are
met.

Most have queen size beds but single rooms are

How to get there
Follow the tar road through Thabazimbi to Marakele
National Park. Carry on past the park gate. Just before
the tar becomes gravel turn right. Travel for about 8km
and turn right into Boschfontein Guest Farm.
Clothing & Accessories
The best clothing to bring into the bushveld is light,
cream or kakhi clothing as the days can be hot.
Long sleeves and trousers are advised for the evenings.
Your swimming costume is a must and don't forget
binoculars and camera.
Health & Climate
Boschfontein Guest house is in a
Malaria-free zone.
