Description:
Thirsty Falls Guest Farm nestles
against the southern slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountains just off
the R24, between Magaliesburg and Rustenburg. It is an organic
working farm, using Permaculture principles with diverse growing of
trees and herbs. With the cliffs of the Magaliesberg as a backdrop,
bushveld , beautiful garden setting and 360o panoramic views,
tranquillity reigns.
Bird life is abundant and there has been a siting of eagles possibly
starting to nest in the cliffs. Small game spotting, buck, warthog
and porcupine comes at the most unexpected moments. Not to be missed
are the beautiful sunsets and star studded night skies, with
resounding calls from the baboon, cry of the jackal and the hoot of
the owl.
As hosts, we enjoy personal hospitality for our guests and the
sharing of this beautiful environment. Your comfort and relaxation
are our priority! Fresh bakes and seasonally grown local produce are
available for purchase.
Self Catering
Accommodation
We offer 3 very comfortable, spacious guest cottages, tastefully
decorated in 'home from home' self-catering accommodation, with a
high standard of cleanliness and care taken. Each cottage is built
with face brick, large sliding doors and windows, privately situated
one from the other, amidst the natural bush. Each is surrounded with
spectacular views.
Rosemary Cottage (2 sleeper)
A 1-bedroom cottage with queen bed and heater in the room. The
bathroom consists of a bath and shower with separate toilet. Quality
towels and linen are supplied. The living area has a lounge with
comfortable suite and an open log fireplace. The kitchen is fully
equipped with a small fridge, stove, microwave and breakfast nook.
Outdoor furniture and a Braai/BBQ facility are provided on the
veranda.
Geranium Cottage (2-4 sleeper)
A 1-bedroom cottage with queen bed and heater in the room. The
bathroom consists of a Jacuzzi bath and shower with separate toilet.
Quality towels and linen are supplied. The living area has a lounge
with a comfortable suite, a double pullout couch and an open log
fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a small fridge, stove,
microwave and dining table. Each room has a ceiling fan. Outdoor
furniture and a Braai/BBQ facility are provided on the veranda.
Lavender Cottage (4-6 sleeper)
A 2-bedroom cottage with queen bed in the main bedroom and en-suite
bathroom with bath/ hand shower and toilet. The second bedroom
consists of twin beds plus adjoining bathroom with shower and
toilet. Quality towels and linen are supplied. The living area has a
lounge with a comfortable suite, a double pullout sleeper couch and
an open log fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge,
stove, microwave and dining table. Each room has a ceiling fan.
Outdoor furniture and a Braai/BBQ facility are provided on both
verandas.
Communal Area
There is a swimming pool with lapa area in a beautiful garden
setting. A TV, pool table and games are provided in a leisure
lounge.
Nature walks can be enjoyed on the farm and fields and hiking on the
slope surrounds.

Activities are part of the Magalies Meander area, which include
fishing, biking, hot air ballooning, horse trails, canopy tours,
outdoor adventures, candle dipping, therapy specialists, country
shopping and restaurants.
