Koro Creek Guesthouse only two
hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport, is located in
the Waterberg-region on the outskirts of Modimolle (Nylstroom).
The guesthouse has been built
according to specifications laid down by the Tourism Grading Council
of South Africa and has now received a 4 Star Grading.
The guesthouse is situated on the
Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate and can accommodate 8 people (4
single or double rooms). The facility was designed and purpose built
as a guesthouse and rooms are spacious, luxurious, and well
appointed, each with a private patio and en-suite bathroom
facilities (bath and shower).
The thatched central complex has a
romantically appointed loft dining area, an intimate lounge with
fireplace, a cocktail bar and swimming pool.
Guests have access to the superb
18 hole championship golf course. The course was designed by the DDV-Design
Group and construction and maintenance done by Wonder Gardens who
was also involved in the development of the Leopard Creek Golf Club
near Malelane (rated as the no 1 course in South Africa for some
time) and the links at Fancourt, George.
Koro Creek is well established and
is becoming the preferred golfing destination in the
Waterberg-region. A number of championship golf courses are situated
within a range of 50km from Koro Creek Guesthouse, including Zebula
Country Club and Spa, Elements Private Golf Reserve and Euphoria
near Naboomspruit.
Nylstroom is the commercial centre
of the Waterberg-region and the location of Koro Creek Guesthouse
makes it the ideal destination to stay at, and play golf over a few
days at a number of different courses in the Waterberg-region.
The Waterberg-region is
particularly renowned for its variety of outdoor recreation options
ranging from horse safaris, hiking and nature trails, 4 X 4
adventure trails, sky diving, visits to historical, cultural and
archaeological sites and unparalleled bird watching at Nylsvlei,
South Africa’s biggest wetland area.
In respect of wildlife, it should
be noted that Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate is adjacent to a 900 –
hectare nature reserve. The reserve is rich in bird life and has a
variety of free-roaming wildlife (impala, eland, waterbuck, giraffe,
zebra, kudu, warthog, etc). Subject to prior arrangement guests may
be allowed access to the reserve in order to enjoy bird watching and
game viewing. |
