Kudu Bush Lodge
is
located on a cattle farm in the beautiful Waterberg bushveld, one and a half
hours from Gauteng, close to Mookgophong (Naboomspruit).
The Lodge offers a peaceful retreat in a unique down-to-earth bush environment
where you can feel close to nature. The indigenous Bushveld is coupled with
beautiful sunsets, plentiful birdlife and small game. The Lodge is ideally
suitable for families, groups or teams wanting to spend time together in a
peaceful environment or can be booked as a small function venue. The
accommodation at Kudu Bush Lodge is also perfect for backpackers and budget
travelers.
Accommodation:
The tranquility of the natural surroundings
is carried over into the rustic, but clean and well-equipped accommodation and
ablution facilities. Accommodation is provided on a self catering basis.
The accommodation consists of:
- 1 X Family chalet, two bedrooms with
double bed & two single beds, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower,
bath and toilet.
- 3 X Thatched Chalets each with a
double bed.
- 2 X Budget rooms each with 3 single
beds.
- Camping sites (tents only) under
beautiful bushveld trees.
Guests in the thatched chalets and budget
rooms have to share our first class ablution facilities and fully equipped
kitchen.

RATES
- Family chalet (sleeps 4) - R480
per night for the unit.
- Thatched chalets (double bed) -
R240 per night per unit.
- Budget rooms (sleeps 6) - R90 per
person per night.
- Camping - R70 per person per
night.
- A group (max. 40 people) can book
the lodge for their exclusive use at a cost of R5 000 for a weekend.
Rates are quoted from 14h00 on day of
arrival till 11h00 the following day.
CONFERENCES/FUNCTIONS
The barn has been transformed into a
conference/function facility, ideal for those small meetings or functions
that require tranquillity and privacy. The conference facility is available
at a cost of R250 per day and is best suited for groups up to 50 people.

ACTIVITIES
- Hiking: Safe short walks in the
veld, where your thoughts can marvel on the beauty of nature lead to a
waterhole where you have a spectacular view of the Waterberg Mountain.
- Bird Watching: Numerous bird
species abound in the area and a stroll around the camp is a rewarding
experience for bird watchers.
- Star Watching: An evening in the
bush under the stars will make your visit unforgettable.
- Swimming: The swimming pool has an
undercover shallow pool.
Important notes
- No bed linen or towels are
provided.
- To ensure a true bush experience
flavoured with bushveld simplicity, a diesel generator supply electrical
power for three hours at night while oil lamps will provide for a quiet,
romantic atmosphere all night long.
- Cooling facilities and hot water
are available.
- A supermarket, liquor store and
butchery are available at "Die Olifant" shopping centre, 6 km from the
lodge.
- The Doringdraai Dam is 15km from
the lodge.

malaria-free area.
- Average temperature: Summer 15/30
Winter 7/22.
- Doctors and a pharmacy are
available at Naboomspruit.

DIRECTIONS
From Johannesburg/Pretoria:
- Take the N1 North towards
Polokwane.
- Pass through the Kranskop
Tollgate.
- Take the Mookgophong turn-off
(R101).
- In Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) turn
left at the second robot in Nelson Mandela Street.
- Continue till you reach "Die
Olifant" T-junction (±12 km), turn right at T-junction.
- Kudu Bush Lodge is 5,8km from the
T-junction on your right.
From Polokwane/Mokopane:
- Take the R101 towards Mookgophong
(Naboomspruit).
- 16 km before Mookgophong turn
right on the "Minerale Baddens" road.
- Kudu Bush Lodge is 10km from the
turn off, on your left.
