Relaxing and Reading

  • The fresh air might be just what you need to finally be able to sleep and rest. We don't mind if you sleep all weekend long and never go for a walk.
Just remember to come back for a longer stay next time so that you have time for both.
  • If you are a bookworm, like us, bring that book you have been planning
to read for a long time and relax under a tree.

A romantic weekend away with your partner.

  • The cottages are situated far apart or are screened off for privacy.
  • For those who know how to be romantic, we have two seater cement baths in our four new cottages. Some even have a view from the bath.
  • We supply candles in the cottages not only for power failures, but also for romantic dinners.
  • Our smaller, two sleeper cottages have a fireplace in the bedroom for those long cozy winter nights.
  • Bring along a picnic rug and basket and have a romantic picnic somewhere under a tree down by the river.

Socializing at Suikerbos

Socialize with Family or Friends

  • If you plan a weekend away with friends, or family, to catch up on your socializing, Saamrus is just the place, where you can braai or cook together and then visit on the veranda or in front of the fireplace - well into the night.
  • Our larger cottages, that can sleep up to 6 people, have seen many friends relaxing together or having a re-union to catch up on past times. If your group is larger, we can always accommodate you in two or three additional cottages
