Molalatau resort is
situated on the banks of the Mogolriver, and the mouth
of the Rietspruit. We are surrounded by the picturesque
Waterberg Mountains.
Here you will find verdant green lawns, colourful
gardens and beautiful accommodation. Our accommodation
consists of Thatched Roof Chalets, Hotel Rooms and a
spacious camping area with immaculately clean ablution
blocks.
We provide Bed & Breakfast as well as self catering
options.
A rich bird life provides music in the Bushveld, whereas
the beautiful indigenousness Bushveld trees provide
tranquillity, calmness and protection to the hot
Bushveld sun.
The resort boast of two swimming pools, ablution blocks,
a child friendly baby pool, a putt-putt course, volley
ball, and pool tables.
Relax at our open Thatched Roof Bar next to the swimming
area, where we will serve something cool to all the
exhausted animals visiting our Kingdom.
An a la carte Restaurant does not only serve the King of
the Jungle, but everyone, may it be a Shark, Bull or
Wallaby that visits our kingdom.
The resort also has a big hall suitable for dream
weddings, more serious conferences as well as any sort
of function needed by any kind of animal.
The Mokolo Dam, 50 km from Lephalale on the Thabazimbi
road (R510), offers excellent boating and fishing
opportunities, but visitors are warned that hippos and
crocodiles occur in the dam.
A picnic area is available for day visitors and
overnight facilities for those who wish to stay over.
Accommodation
Hotel Rooms:
Either Double Rooms; Double Rooms with DSTV or Single
Rooms some with DSTV and others without.
The Thatched Roof Rooms are all double rooms with DSTV -
some with aircon.
Self Catering Chalets:
The 4-Bed Self Catering Chalet has either 2 rooms one
with a double and the other with 2 single beds or 2
rooms with 2 double beds as well as aircon in each room
and DSTV.
There is also a 5-Bed Self Catering Chalet (1 double and
3 single beds) with aircon and DSTV as well as a 9-Bed
Self Catering Chalet with 4 rooms and 9 beds with DSTV.
How to get there
From Johannesburg / Pretoria travel via Brits or
Hartebeespoort Dam to Thabazimbi.
Proceed to Lephalale.
About 8km before Lephalale on your right hand side,
you'll find the turn-off.
